What Do I Offer?

Interested in commercial aviation? Want to jumpstart your career in aviation by immersing yourself in the fascinating world that it is? Want to learn more about realistic flight operations through the power of desktop flight simulation?

Not Just Another Gaming Coach

I am an undergraduate student at Imperial College London currently studying for a Master of Engineering in Aeronautical Engineering. With over a decade of experience in desktop flight simulation and having immersed myself in the world of commercial aviation, I have amassed a tremendous amount of knowledge in almost every aspect of flight operations you can think of.

This package will deliver to you the hundreds of thousands of hours of intensive research and deep-diving I have done, in just a span of a few hours.

Through desktop flight simulation, I will guide you through and show you the fascinating world that lies behind the flight deck door, behind the airline dispatch office and up above in the air traffic control tower. From setting up your flight simulator of choice, to installing my personal hand-picked selection of the best addons, to a complete detailed instruction of how to operate your chosen flight simulator addon exactly like how real-world pilots do it.

All the thousands of switches in the flight deck, every single display and every single indicator, I will explain it all, and in unrivalled depth and detail you will simply be unable to find in any YouTube tutorial online. And the best part – the lessons will be engaging, fun, lively, interactive, hands-on – they will invigorate and excite you! You will come away feeling an even deeper attraction for commercial aviation.

From a detailed guide on reading Jeppesen Charts, to a cross-bleed start in the 737NG, to flying the RNP Z RWY 02 (AR)1 approach into Kathmandu, I cover every single aspect of flight simulation, delving into the nitty-gritty details behind the flipping of every single switch.

With this package you also receive my complete, undivided attention on your personal flight simulation journey, with tailored recommendations on aircraft to purchase, routes to fly, sceneries to download, and much, much more. No more hours of boring tutorials online, no more hair-pulling as your aircraft does the exact opposite of what you tell it to!

Need help with brushing up on your Mathematics and Physics in school? Fear not! I am armed with Gold Medals at National-level Physics competitions and Olympiads, and was part of the International Physics Olympiad Singapore Training Team. And of course you will get to see how critical a role Physics and Mathematics play in flight simulation! The calculations of Mach Numbers, true airspeeds, pressure altitudes, the list goes on and on. The next time you’re on a real-world flight, you’ll be able to calculate all these parameters from the basic ones shown on the In-flight Entertainment System!

I hope you can see that this is the most comprehensive educational package on aviation available right now in the market. Are your children interested in becoming pilots in the future? Are you looking at learning how to realistically operate your aircraft on VATSIM, in accordance to real-world airline standard operating procedures (SOPs)? Want to get a head start in attending some of the world’s top universities by learning first-hand how to build up an impressive portfolio?

The sky is calling!

The flight deck of the Airbus A320 at nighttime – Airbus was the pioneer of the “dark cockpit” concept, where every switch would remain unilluminated in normal operations. Together with the Electronic Centralised Aircraft Monitor (ECAM), another Airbus-pioneered technology, this concept works exceedingly well to keep pilot distractions to a minimum and alert them to any non-normal situations effectively.
Looking for beautiful places to fly to with challenging and non-conventional routes? Want to know how to always know which route dispatchers will plan in real life, which taxiways will be used and which gates the aircraft will depart from? Sometimes the information is available with a simple Google search – but when the field comes out blank (e.g. MH124) – that’s where I come in!
The RNP W RWY 30 (AR)2 Approach into Hobart, Tasmania. One of the few RNP (AR) approaches Virgin Australia is certified to fly in Australia. Looks complicated? Every single detail here I will explain to you! Image courtesy of Airservices Australia.
1 RNP stands for Required Navigational Performance, and the number associated with it (e.g. RNP 0.30) indicates the maximum number of nautical miles the aircraft may deviate left or right of the planned GPS track. For reference that’s 556 metres – not a lot of room for error!

AR stands for Authorisation Required, and in this context it means that the aircrew and aircraft must be specially qualified and certified to fly this particular approach into Kathmandu, due to high terrain in the area and the late turns just before touching down. Unfortunately I can’t show you the Approach Plate for this one right now because there are no publicly-available sources, but there’s another RNP (AR) approach plate you can view just above this text. And of course if you get the package I’ll show you in-person, along with thousands of others and teach you how to access them yourself!

2 Same as the above, except that this time the sharp turn just before touchdown was designed to prevent aircraft overflying noise-sensitive areas and the nature reserves just south-east of the airport. When you sign up for the package you’ll learn all about these procedures all over the world and just what goes into designing each and every one of them. From TERPS criteria to environmental factors, there’s lots and lots of work (hence, money) and community input involved!
